T68i rules over 7650 |

Hi,
I tested Nokia 7650 two days ago and I must say that it's a goodlooking phone but it has a big problem: The joystick really
sucks!!
The screen is awesome and the menu are easy to use and so
is the camera. But the fact is that the joystick give you a hard
time to even use the phone. So don't worry my fellow T68 fan.
T68 still rules!. I will test the 7210 today and I'll come back with
more info on that phone.

Who do you work for Daniel? Because the 7210/7650 isnīt really out. I could buy it if you would like to get rid of it.
I mean the 7210.
I 7650

is it also as heavy as is looks like (the site says 154g, that's almost twice the weight of the T68, 84) |

Hi Again,
Now I've also seen the 7210 at a Nokia evening here in Sweden. The phone looks great, even better then my dear T68i, but the menu was so slow, probably the worst I've ever tried. But they were early prototypes so I hope they fix it before release (or not ).
Since it was a prototype it didn't had everything yet (ex. games were missing) but the menu is like all other Nokia phones since 3110.
What the 7210 has is a great display. It's clear and good brightness.
But it's almost impossible to use the keypad.
The 7650 was better this time, the joystick is better then I first thought but it's not even near the joystick in the T68. The keypad is ok but the buttons could be better. But the screen was really good and so was the menus.
That's for now,

Daniel > From what I've learned from Nokia,..the 7650 doesnt support bluetooth headsets,..only data.
I cant really figure out why they didnt put the headset profile in this phone,..it would have been ideal. But again, they might have some problems with this bluetooth-part,..a "well-known" secret
I might be able to do a test too of the 7650.

wiltonson > A few reasons : One could be that its a prototype still.
Another reason could be the color-display...it uses a lot of "energy".
But guess we wont really know for sure untill its out "for real"

After testing the 7650 i was most amazed of the size... I mean why do you want to in back to a size like nokia 2110 or the communicator when you can get even better prestanda on a t68i with a mca-20 camera. And also. This technology is proven. 7650 will not be bug free until christmas...

Is the display on the 7210 MUCH better than the T68 when you tried it? It has over 4000 colours so just wondering how it compares? The keys do look hard to use but i think it is a nice looking phone and i dont usually like nokias anymore. Ed

Hi Intel...
This is cut from a previous post I made in another forum-tread.
The paper-version of the "Mobil"-magasine has a small test between t68i and Nokia 7210. The t68i wins...
The Nokia don't have:
E-mail
Bluetooth
Camera-option
Foto-album
The Ericsson doesnt have:
4096 colours(just 256)
Java
Polyphonic ring-tones and speaker
Radio(ekstra on Ericsson)
Changable covers
The conclusion was that the features on the Ericsson was more important. Specially E-mail, Bluetooth and Camera-option(important due to MMS) -AND that the 7210 isn't for sale before the autumn.
Another important difference was the battery-capasity.
Nokia: 4h. talk - 240h. standby
t68i: 12h. talk - 390h. standby
In a similar compare the Ericsson P800 crushed Nokia 7650 on allmost every issue.
