Several problems with sony T300 |

I am new to Sony Ericsson world, I got my T300 for a very good price, then I got a USB cable from ebay, but there are some problems transfering files.
1, if I send themes, it can be sent correctly, but if I try to open it on my phone, I will get "error open file , delete?" What's wrong with that???
2. If I send *.mid ringtones, it can be sent, but when I try to hear it on my phone, it has no sound at all
3. I download some games to my pc, whenever I try to send them, only work for first 5k, then it will be disconnected.
I am very sad about all this, really appreciate anyone who can help.
Happy Christmas!

I know this is retrospective, but it would have been better to get an IR adapter instead of a USB cable.
It would mean no fiddling with cables, no need for software (Windows handles file transfers natively), plus you can use other devices with the adapter (meaning you don't need to buy another adapter when you change your brand of phone etc).
But oh well. |

Oh well... I had a USB cable and a T300 and Sendfile 2 It took me ages to have MPM recognise my phone but once it did I have not had any problems with the configuration ever again.
I have had other problems, which is when I installed another USB device on my second USB port that simply 'overpowered' the port with the cable, used up all the energy and simply not let it function properly.
I'm guessing that's a one-off but do check just in case.
Also check if your cable is in fact working properly.... if it isn't then that's what is corrupting your files.
When your phone says 'cannot open, do you want to delete?' you have a corrupt file. |
