Hi folks,

Just want to share with you of my latest discovery.
Last weekend, I foolishly forgot to remove my T68 from my pant's before putting it into the washing machine.
The worst thing is that, my poor T68 underwent 1hr of machine wash, rinse and dry without me realising it. I only realised it when I was hanging my pants.
By then, the phone was off and the internal screen was flooded with water....just like a fish tank.
I was totally despaired.....in desperation, I quickly removed the battery and started to dismantle the phone. I could notice dried soap powder around the LEDs and few of the resistors. I took a mineral water and a soft toothbrush and started to clean the PCBs and the LCD screen. Anxiously, I left the phone to dry in open air for 3 days.
But guess what, thinking that the phone was a goner, it lighted up when I pressed the ON button. The phone memory and settings remained unchanged!!...except for the time. All functions work as per normal. Only then, I started to thank myself to own such a durable phone, the mighty T68...

yup...i could not believe myself...but it's really water resistance
the bottom line is that you need to be patient and let the phone dry up naturally. I did not use hair-dryer....afraid that it might overheat the chip.....
As an advised....you need to strip the phone completely (may need special screwdriver to remove the cover)...water tends to collect between the LCD screen and the PCB. When i detach the LCD screen from the pcb (quite easy).....I could see lots of soap powder dried up between that area....wash with mineral water...and let it dry for 3 or 4 days....

Trust me...it will work....but I don't recommend you folks to try this out unless your phone go for a "swim".......
