 Have you seen the extra material on the extended version of "the Fellowship of the Ring"? If you have did you see the scethcher who draw the storyboards? He was one of the guards when pippin lightened the (what do you call it?) fire beacon.
And one of the small girls in Minas Tirith is Peter Jacksons daughter. She also had roles in the first film in Bilbos storytelling sequence. And in the second film in Helms Deep, in the caves.
