Hi Guys,
I am in Australia and just had a HCB-30 fitted to my Holden Statesman today. (Match with a Z600) Every thing seems pretty fine but I have a couple of questions that I am hoping someone can help with. The install was done where I bought the unit and seems really neat apart from some minor niggles.
1. Magic word and voice answer don't seem to work at all however from the reading I have done it appears that it isn't possible at all with the HCB-30, sound right?
2. If I have a voice tag for a contact and they call the voice is played through the phone but not through the car sound system, but once again I have a feeling that this is an inherant problem with the HCB-30. Sound right again?
3. When I receive a call the phone rings, the music mutes, a tiny part of a ring is heard through the car sound system, the music unmutes, mutes again, another tiny part of a ring and so on until you answer. It isn't a major problem but the fact that each ring is cut abruptly is a bit shabby. I would assume that the music is meant to mute completely and stay muted from the start of the first ring right through to the end of the call. Any tips or ideas? I thought about changing the ring tone to something without breaks (which seem to be the cause of the problem) but I don't like a musical tone, would prefer a normal phone type ring.
