Calling Cards in Canada |

Hi all,
I will be in Canada for 3 weeks during Christmas, and I would like to be able to stay in touch with my Girlfriend in the UK.
I own a T610 on Orange.
I have a couple of Questions:
1. Would it be cheaper to use the calling cards from Landlines?
2. If I use the calling cards from my mobile will I get charged with international fees?
3. How do I use the calling cards from my mobile?
4. Can any one recommend a good cheap calling card company in Canada?
I did try the search but didn't really get the answers I was looking for.
Sorry if I just didn’t use the search properly.
Thanks

Using your roaming Orange phone to use calling cards woudl certainly be much more expensive than using a land line, though you won't have to pay international charges for dialling the calling card's local (or freephone) access number, Orange woudl still charge 15-20% on top / minute for roaming charges. Theres plenty of calling cards available. U can use UK based Alphatelecoms service, the rate is 12p/min. Visit https://www.securecalls.co.uk/. or www.iconnecthere.com, they are actually a PC2Telephoen company but also offer a calling card service, their rates are in the 14 cents/minute region. With these sites, the advantage is you can just top up your a/c thru the internet. Second option, you'll find plenty of shops selling disposable 10/20 dolllar calling cards (atleast they were available in Toronto and Calgary), cant say for other cities. |

Thanks very much , Thought that would be the case. Looks like I won't use my mobile then. Sounds too expensive.
