Rumors have it that the Nokia 9310 and Sony Ericsson's P 1000 are due to be released in the 1st/ 2nd quarter of 2004 - How TRUE ??? Can anyone post some of the photos of the said fones ? Thanks ! |

Not likely that SE will launch the p1000 so sone after the release of the p900. thet would be very stupid. Havent seen any piccs so I dubt thet it's true |

Yes, I believe the P1000 is coming in around the same time as the T650. 
Believe it only when you start seeing some pics and some promotion.

My guess on this is that this is really rumour is just the Z1010 becoming available.
I reckon the Nokia would be a 7890 model!

they HAVE TO reveal at least one 3G smartphone before summer. nokia, motorola, etc., already did months ago. and Z1010 is not a smartphone, remember.

more importantly, ericsson has worked with quite a lot of carriers in getting EDGE/3G networks in place, many of which are coming on stream as we speak, so it wouldn't be farfetched to think that a Pxxx smartphone with EDGE and/or 3G will be available soon.
remember that when manufacturers sell equipment to carriers these days, the carriers often demand that the equipment sellers also play a part in generating revenues from the new equipment. useless to sell equipment when there are no phones that can make use of the new capabilities...
