When will it be possible to have my T68 converted?
It will be possible to convert your phone from week 20.

Where can I have my phone converted?
You can have your phone converted at you nearest Service Location

Can I change my mind and get my old software back?
No, once the conversion is done, there is no way back.

I have downloaded and installed the PC software for T68m – will this still work when my phone is converted?
No, you should uninstall it and install the T68i synch software instead.

Is there anything I ought to do before I have my T68 converted?
Yes, you ought to synchronize the calendar with your PC and copy phone numbers to the SIM card

What are the hardware differences?
Only design and color

Will there be differences in memory size between a T68i/ie and a converted T68?
No, they will have exactly the same functionality and the same memory size.

What will I get when having the conversion done?
You will gain these functions from the T68i:
MMS
Picture Album (My pictures) with increased memory allocation for images
Sound Browser (List of sounds stored in the phone, i.e. eMelodies, iMelodies and AMR files)
Picture CLI (Possible to associate a picture with a contact and display the picture upon incoming call)
Viewfinder with Communicam MCA 20
New games
Notes
Screensaver
New preloaded wallpapers
New and more advanced ring melody composer
Text formatted SMS (Possible to add e.g. bold and italic text)
Customisable contacts (possible to select which information to see in a contact)
irstName - LastName concept discarded
Only one name in phonebook in T68i
SMS chat
GPRS (p-channels)
JPEG support
Animated GIF support

Will I lose something when doing the conversion?
You will only loose the user data on those functions:
Calendar
High scores to the games
Own edited/downloaded background pictures
Own edited/downloaded ring signals
Own edited EMS pictures
Own defined shortcuts in the menuPhonebook
Saved CB (Cell Broadcast messages)
SMS templates
SyncML settings
Tetris (will be replaced with an other game
VoiceMemos
Voice tags

You might want to make this post a STICKY so it stays up on top. This will answer a lot of new user questions.

Thanks for the useful information.

Quite an interesting post, actually...

Especially for those of us who still are to be considered Newbies

But - And here comes the big But...:

Stilll got a couple of questions in my couriousity (of course...)

What's with the "GPRS (p-channels)"....? Haven't heard about it. Of course I use GPRS, but what's with the p-channels?

And I don't understand the contens of "Only one name in phonebook in T68i " either....

I didn't realize we'd get this much hot stuff in the upgrade....

Thanks for the reminder..
