Hi,

does there anybody know if it is possible to update the T68 at home? I know one has to consult a local service point or so for the updates. But on the other hand, this is also the "normal" way for e.g. Siemens mobiles, but it is still possible to update them at home. May be that someone has experience with this, and knows where to get the software (the ROM-Image) etc. from. Because, the service point has also somehow to "make" it, so why not doing it at home? e. g. Update to R1C or so. Please help!

you can do it with the right equipment, but I dont think Ericsson will official go out with it on there homepage. They probably want to have som control. It's easy and free so why bother.

The Ericsson service points download the software from a site.
Then do the upgrade offline.
Some actually upgrade phones online, then of course there's the risk of connection breaking down.

As said in the other post,.why bother with this,.as the upgrades are free.
