I was wondering... Could it be possible

I mean... I know that you can make your own Java games. You just need to know how to programm. So, is there any Mophun program language or something like that ( hope you understand ) ?

I'm really interested in that, and if someone could help me, maybe I could learn how to programm it and maybe I could make new Mophun games for you.

Mophun games are currently created using the C language. They use a special SDK that can be downloaded free of charge.

If you know a bit of C, check out the developer's section on www.mophun.com. It has the SDK for download as well as a few 'getting started' tutorials and more

C ???

Sh*t. I do know a little of programming in C, but I find it very difficult. I could try with that tutorials, but it sure is a hard one.

Anyway... THANKS. I really appriciate your reply and it should help me with my work. I'll give my best.,

The problem with Mophun is the way they are distributed.

In order to distribute a Morphun game/application you have to be a registered developer which costs money.

Then there is no real way to distribute a free application.

I thought about it, but I think I'll start in the Java end...

Yeah, I forgot to mention the licensing and distribution bit! oops...

Still, there's nothing stopping you having a go and playing the resulting game(s) yourself. Who Knows? If you eventually come out with something decent, you could sell it!

I agreee though, that you'd probably be better off starting with java, although personally I find C easier to code with than java?!?!?! Must be just me

EDIT: As an afterthought, many API's can be used by multiple languages, so is it not likely that a delphi SDK could be released in the future? I'm a big fan of rapidQ and you can use just about all of the windows API as well as most 32-bit third-party DLL's, however I doubt very much that it could use the mophun API

And now... I'm totally confused...

I thought that when I compile the game, I get a .mpn file that I can upload to my phone?!

You can while the game is in developement. Sort of. The SDK comes with an emulator for testing mophun apps on your pc. Also (quote from the mophun site),

'For testing purposes the developer can get access to our test facilities, send us an email to: mocert@mophun.com and we'll let you know how to proceed.'

You don't even have to be 'proper developer' to get the SDK etc. look here:

http://www.mophun.com/main_developers.php?dev_id=become&sid=a93829d4756a6af9390c8021285961d9

Basically, anyone can 'have a go' at making a mophun game, you don't have to go past step 2 of their guide, but I agree that once the game is made, you have to go through the propper channels if you want to see it on your (or other people's) phones.

Thing is, I think there's little point in signing up and getting the tools unless you know enough 'c' to make a game. Basically, you should at least already be able to make simple games in 'c' using other libraries and SDK's.

Start with Java, it's easier to obtain, easier to learn (for most people) and there's none of these silly rules about distribution etc.

You're right. Stupid mophun ... ( I'm not saying that the games are stupid ). Games are great... but I wanted to make my own...

Never mind... when I learn some more of C, I'll try to make something... but I don't think thats going to happen soon.

Well, I'm starting with this and I got a problem, the page of mophun changed and I can't found the SDK for download it or something like that... so maybe I'm wrong but I search it and I'm shure that there isn't that option.
If someone have those SDK or developers to make mophun application (so games), please send it to my e-mail (rusovsky_c@hotmail.com) because I'm too interesting in these kind of applications, please make me that favor, please, please!. Thanks

another factor, from what I understand, only T610 and one or two other older phones actually support the morphun platform? I'm pretty sure Morphun games won't run on a K700 or later. I was certainly never able to install the morphun games I got for my T610 on any later phones I bought.
