Ok, here's how to increase your balance for stored value Metro Rail Transit (MRT) cards in the Philippines...
Place your hbh-65 bluetooth headset directly on top of your MRT stored value card. Make sure that your headset is on and paired with a bluetooth enabled phone.
Using another phone, call up your bluetooth enabled phone which in turn would activate the connection to the headset which is on top of the MRT stored value ticket.
The activated headset would alter the information of the MRT card which in all probability would increase its balance.
The HITCH is... the balance would be too big that the entrance (or exit) would not want to recognize it... Happened to my twice already... First time, my balance went up to Php 6,000 and the second time, Php 3,500 upon verification in the counter... (MRT stored value tickets have a maximum balance of Php 100 only).
MRT personell would replace the card after 5 working days.
This incident has been tested with the Sony Ericsson HBH-65 and I would not know it it would work with other brands.

can't we limit the increase in credits by putting more distance between the card the and bt headset when you call it?

... still experimenting with the distance, angle and direction... it's really hard if you have only 3 pcs of MRT cards with you at one time... it takes an awfully lot of time that it might even be faster for one to discover the cure for cancer... there are less dependent factors. |
