When I wanted to use my phone for e-mail I needed to let Netcom know so they could activate it on my sim-card. KS

As Solmyr is saying,..You need to tell your operator to open your account's data-transfer-part. It will not cost you anything,..its just an option.

If you have a gprs account, then you already have data-transfer.

You say You use a gprs-SET-UP,..but do you have a GPRS-account together with your normal gsm-account ?

If you dont have a gprs-account with your phone-operator,..then you need to call your phone-operator, and ask them to "open-up" for the data-transfer.

If you can receive mail you have GPRS enabled. If the text doesn´t appear it might be that it is HTML format. It happends that the phone cannot receive the text.

The reason you can´t send mail might be som relay problems. It might require that you connect with a spesific operatør and so on. If you have Telenor and also have Mobilpost you should use that SMTP-server... [addsig]

I called Telenor and they didn't know anything about "open up the data transfer". Do you have to use mobilpost if you have telenor as operator?
