Hi,
I was informed not long ago of something many of you no doubt know: memory is about to have the biggest boom ever:
- the capacity will increase greatly - in the same size as 128mb or 256mb, you'll get hundreds of GB. (Non-volatile, which means doesn't clear if power to it is stopped)
- the cost will go down
This will probably cause computers and other electronic devices (including mobiles) to be redesigned. Computers will still have hard drives but they will only be used for backup purposes... Memory will be used for primary storage. This will most likely cause a leap in technology.
Hopefully, Sony Ericsson will take advantage of this.
