is there a java application or something which would enable me to save any kind of file on my phone as long as it's small enough. for example word document. so my phone would work like a floppy when necessary.
is that even possible?

I'm sure you can. If I find that program (I need it too) i'll post it here.

you don't need a java program to do that.

an example:
you want to transport "document.doc"
just rename it to "document.gif" and send it through infrared or bleutooth to you phone (you will see the well known red cross when you want to see that "picture".
then send "document.gif" from your phone to the other computer
and rename "document.gif" to "document.doc"

I just tested it and it works

Do the files take upp alot more space in t610 compared to the computer, just like the images.

no, because the phone can't make a raw format image out of your document. so if your Word document (or other kind of file) is only 18kb on your pc, it will also be only 18kb on your phone

I found a java program that can read text files on T610. To insert text files on T610 I need to put them in the java file and then a program to recompress jar files (I'm going to search it someday)

I think you're talking about Bookreader. But xa4's way is a lot more practical, cos you can use any kind of file.

By the way, thanks for a great tip!
