better yet, anyone know how to get R3B? I'm in the States and need to upgrade my phone (otherwise it doesn't work properly on the voicestream network). |

@drad:
have you done an upgrade? i too have problems in NY with voicestream. did you have to send your phone to SE? If yes, how long did it take to get it back?
mine is:
r2a018
prgCXC125137
r2a018
prgCXC125147_TAE
and i couldn't get it to work with GPRS. it kept on freezing everytime i tried to exit the browser.
otherwise it's ok, though a little slow (faster than t28, anyway!)
i guess i am not very demanding.
thanks,

U can upgrade in any Ericsson Authorise service centre, the upgrade take not more then 30 mins. U can just chat with the services staff and wait for the whole upgrade to complete.
PS: I'm in Singapore.

kayla: the problem is, it doesn't look like SE has any service centers in the US at all. when you call them up the answer is "you have to send your phone to us"...

Don't look for SE service counter/center but check out for Authorise service center. They don't belong to Sony or Ericsson but they are authorise to service SE phone. We got all lot of this services center in Singapore maybe it work the same in US (save cost to maintain a service center for SE maybe? )
