I'm pretty sure I saw a thread on here about copying and pasting phone numbers from one category to another, eg, home to mobile... but after intense searching I can't find the thread and really need to use this function.
A little help anyone??

No I do not think you can Copy - Paste yet. If you want to copy a Number from Home to Mobile you need to edit the Mobile number and then press the Option Menu and select Phone Book, find the entry and select the Home number and click yes.

i think the post your referring to was regarding copy & paste when using the calculator: type a number, slide up or down and this copies the number to the top left of your display with 'M:' next to it. slide up or down again to paste this.

i tried while editing the phone book with no success, would have been good.

The panick is over!
For those of you who don't know how to do it, here it is...

1. Go into "Edit contact", and select the Contact
2. Scroll down to the number you want to cut and paste.
3. Without selecting it (ie without clicking on the joystick or the yes button) press and hold the * key, and then press the 1 key. When you release both keys, the highlighted number should disappear.
4. Now move to the appropriate entry (eg the "Mob" entry) and press and hold the * key, then press the 3 key. When you release both, the number is pasted into this entry.

When viewing the phone numbers for the contact you can press and hold * and then 1 for cut, 2 for copy and 3 for paste.

I have saved some of the tips found here on Esato in a text file, and here they are. Maybe there is something there you didn't know. Enjoy...

I found a neat function with the calculator in the T39 by mistake: Pushing the volume button (on left side) UP, will copy the current contents of the display into a memory, and an "M" is displayed in the upper left corner of the display. Use volume DOWN to retreive the value in further calculations. If you use the smallest font size, the value of the memory is also displayed. Unfortunately, the memory is lost if you leave the calculator function. This is not documented in the manual, at least not in the swedish manual.

"Fake" PIN-lock:
- Turn on the phone and enter PIN...
- You are now in the mainwindow.
- Tap this buttons: #05#
- Press 'NO' to exit.
don't use the *#05# many times
i used it ten times (joking to some friends)
and instead of pressing no i was giving a PUk (not the origional)
after ten times my sim was destroyed

Many people complain about the slow scrolling of the T68 especially when a text message is long continues joystick press etc etc,Did you know that you can scroll down insteed of line by line but page by page???All you have to do is to press the * or # buttons when reading text and you will have no need to keep pressing that poor joystick so many times!!
By pressing #1 or #3 when reading sms you get the same thing as * and #.

You can also save some jostick strokes by using the keypad. For example, in the t68 desktop, you can select an icon by pressing the number corresponding to its location, i.e. 2 for Messages, 8 for Connect, etc.
Under the pulldown menus, you can click the number of the option instead of scrolling your jostick up or down.

When you scroll wap pages you can hold the joystick and the volume button down at the same time, then it will go a bit faster. I always do this.

Did you know you can use the slide key to select a caracter while composing an email or sms. When you slide up>hold and you press "abc" it selects "b" slide down>hold and you press "abc" it selects "c" this works for every caracterkey! When I want to select "s" Slide down>hold>press "pqrs" twice gives "s" etc. etc. Slide down>hold>"0" gives @
Enjoy

You hold down the volume key (up or down - doens't matter) while holding down this volume button - or press the joystick either up or down (depending on what you want to delete) - this will mark several words and even lines og text at once - and finally for deleting this - you just press the "c" button.
