T-Mobile has become the first network in Europe to let people choose the sound a caller hears while they wait for their call to be answered.
Instead of the usual "bring bring", its customers will be able to select hits from the likes of Kylie or Busted.

A similar service has been a huge hit in South Korea, and is seen as the next step in personalising mobile phones.

It is predicted this kind of service will be very popular when more services are launched in Europe by mid-2004.

Yeah, sorry everyone for the sarcasm I just think that it screams of money grabbing desperation, that's all.

Actually, I just ditched T-Mobile Contract and went on Orange Contract. Wouldn't have my T610 If I didn't, T-Mobile refused me a decent upgrade after four years of loyal service (i.e. paying my monthly bills on time).

One2One were much better

sorry your gone to o2 already, i'm usually spot on at getting upgrades out of t-mobile...no biggie anyhow, whats done is done.

couldnt ever be without my free calls in the evenings and weekends...you can try but you cant beat the freetime tariff.

of course its a money making scheme, it seems reasonably priced to me and i'm just glad to see t-mobile coming with something first for a change... article on how it took off in South Korea: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3239928.stm
