I have used Peacemaker from www.conduits.com, and if you have an iPaq, it comes free with it.

I just got my T68i and tried to connect to my PocketPC Jornada 548 (PPC2000) through IRdA but they don't seem to talk. Maybe I do something wrong. Please explain how I make a connection between the two. Do I need a special driver and if so where do I download it?
Many thanks

IF you use pocketpc 2002 u don't need any software.
I have an IPAQ 3630 upgraded to PPC 2002 and it works fine !

I don't know if it's possible to upgrade a jordana ....

Software to use is 'peacemaker' pro I guess
Cheers !

Many thanks.

No the Jornada cannot be upgraded like the iPaq to PPC2002.

Somewhere I saw some post indicating Ericsson's R320 IrDA modem driver for a Casio PocketPC. Where do you think I can download that? I could not find it in the Sony Ericsson site.
Thanks

You need to use Pacemaker (www.conduits.com) as -arnoldc- suggested.

Thanks. However, I believe Peacemaker is a synchronization program with which you can send info once I have established the connection,

I first need to establsih the connection. And it says it is trying, but it does not make a connection, so I think I need something like a driver to "talk". Is this correct?

Many thanks

@dees01, peacemaker is a file transfer program which you use if you have Pocket PC 2000 (for 2002 it is not needed), this you need since you're on Pocket PC 2000. i've seen iPAQs that can't connect via Ir the first time, maybe it is your problem as well with the HP. However, if you're using Ir to connect to the phone as a modem, neither peacemaker or any driver (R320 driver is only used for Windows CE 2.11) is required.

The company is called : SYNCDATA
The program is called : SyncExpress

Costs us $ 16,-.

I dont have a website-adress,..havent checked it out yet

You mean T68m/i and ipaq H3870 ?
E.g. surfing the internet ?

That works fine

Some shops here in DK actually sell a package containing the Ipaq H3870 and T68i, and at a very good price too

The Ipaq doesnt have e.g. bluetooth headset/audio profile.
But since I work with this "bluetooth-thing" I can get the headset-profile implemented on my Ipaq, hehe,...should work really nice

One PDA that does have the Bluetooth headset profile, is the Fujitsu Siemens LOOX.

To arnoldc re:

Many thanks arnoldc. Really appreciate it.
If I want to use the phone as a modem for my pocketpc, do I need to set up a connection or how do I do it step-by-step. In other words, to make them talk together do I first need to do something like Programs/Connections/IRActivesync and then Connect to Default? Or, in Programs, there is also something like "Infrared Receive".
Do you need to take any steps to make them talk or is it supposed to happen automatically when you put the two together?

Many thanks for your patience.

@dees01, you need to configure it using dial-up networking and specify the Ir port as the connection. you need to know your operator's gprs settings. please visit the technical section for more information.
