Service Centres - Persistence is the key!!!! |

I purchased a SE HBH-60 Bluetooth Headset a couple of months ago and have only used it sparingly. After a period of 10 days of no use at all I pulled it out of the draw and put it on charge overnight. The next morning when I took it off charge the LED would not come on and when you pressed the button it would glow orange, otherwise dead.
So off to the local service centre with receipt in hand.
Me: Its buggered!!
Service Centre: No problems we will have a look at it for you. Call us tomorrow to see if it is ready.
Me: Great, I will call you tomorrow.
Tomorrow comes:
Me: Calling about job number #####
SC: I am sorry it still is not ready. We will call you as soon as it is ready.
A week goes by:
Me: Calling about job number #####
SC: I am sorry we are awaiting a part from Singapore.
Me: How long before I can expect to get it back?
SC: It will probably take a couple of weeks. If you can call us back then.
Two weeks goes by:
Me: Calling about job number #####
SC: I am sorry we are awaiting a part from Singapore.
Me: Let me guess! These things take a couple of weeks to get in.
SC: Unfortunately yes.
Me: Well it has been over 3 1/2 weeks now, it has gone beyond a joke.
SC: We can't speed it up sorry.
Me: By the way where can I send my fines for using a mobile while driving too? (A bit of sarcasm to end the call)
SC: What do you mean?
Me: Only joking, can you please call me as soon as you get it repaired.
Two hours go past:
SC: Your headset is ready to be picked up.
Me: Great
I go to pick up the headset form the service centre and what do I see!!!
A BRAND NEW HBH - 65
So persistence does pay my people.

Same thing happens to me. I send in mine for "repair", they loan me a HBH20 for free. They called me about 2 weeks later and they've replaced the HBH 60 with a HBH 65.  |
