I have just received an email from PayPal saying that my account will expire in 5 days unless I re-register. An obvious scam. Be careful if you receive this email - do not activate the attachment to the email.

That's why I just don't TRUST PayPal at times ! I am really better off with my 'SuPalPal' credit payment!

I have been receiving these for about 2 weeks now, in total probably about 40 times. Fortunately Norton antivirus has been picking it up for me and removing it.

I had an email last week telling me that my paypal payment never went thru,i only read the info from a sms alert on my phone but i did'nt bother to make sure the money was in the bank,i just left it. Then 2 days later i had another email telling me the payment went thru! I had'nt put any cash in to cover it either. Is this dodgy or just an error with paypal? PS,i still hav'nt read these emails from my PC.

@jojo

I don't think its a paypal security issue, HSBC had a similar issue. Like you get an email from HSBC saying update your details for the internet banking and you will have a link to that page if you click that link you will be taken to a webpage exactly looking like the HSBC internet banking home page. And in effect we will be filling a form with our bank login for the hacker

I received a Ebay mail where they wanted me to fill in my credit card details. And I haven't got an Ebay account! Note the "hidden" destination of the URL.

Dear valued eBay member:

If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and
update your personal records you will not run into any future problems
with the online service.
However, failure to update your records will result in account
suspension.
Please update your records by September 30th.
Once you have updated your account records your eBay session will not be
