I have a T610 and a hcb-30 bluetooth car kit. My phones user manual says my T610 will automatically switch profiles quote -
"Some profiles, for example In Car, are automatically activated when used with a specific accessory. When disconnected, the profile is changed back."
Well mine doesn't!
Anyone having similar problems?

The manual refers to the Carkit (HCA-20). This is a conventional carkit, so one has to put the phone in a cradle (HCH-30 for the T610) mounted in the car.
This physical connection is needed for the phone to switch profiles (there's a special connection in the holder to do this). Obviously there is no physical connection with a bluetooth carkit (in fact the bluetooth carkit uses a special bluetooth profile "headset" to transfer calls to the carkit, this is not indicated on the screen of the phone).

So your phone's functioning completely normal. Besides the whole point of a bluetooth carkit is that you do not have to take the phone out of your pocket when getting into your car. Hence having the 'in car" profile activated (with backlight and screen on constantly) is fairly useless.

But if you really want to see the profile change automatically I advise you to buy the HPB-11 (Portable Handsfree with answering button), its alot cheaper than the HCA-20. If you connect the handsfree you will see the profile Portable H-Free come up.
