As I previously wrote, despite my great support towards SonyEricsson when it comes to mobiles, I would always congratulate a great product, even if it's other than SE.
Such a mobile appears to be Sendo's Smartphone 'X'. Although I'm not 100% sure of how good it is, its early indications make it seem like solid competator.
Seeing though Sendo calling it 'Smartphone', in my opinion this category should be divided into two subcategories, because they don't all fit in the same. One would be the 'PDA Smartphones' (Such as P800 and P900, as among other, they have a touch-screen and a stylus) and the other would be the 'Button-controlled Smartphones' or something (Such as Siemens' SX1 or Nokia's 7650).
The 'Sendo X' would of course appear in the second category, therefore not competing directly against the likes of P900.
Finally I would like to point out Sendo X's features: MMC and SD card support(!), Wap AND web-browser (!), Bluetooth - gprs - ir and USB connection (!), VGA camera with 4x zooming, integrated flash and short-video recording(!), enhanced sound-speakers and voice-control (can even move through the menus through voice!) and 65536 colors TFT screen. All of these previous mentioned features (plus some more) can't be found alltogether on any other phone.

PS. It's good that finaly such of phone came along, so it'll maybe force the bigger players to start making their mobiles a bit more 'complete!'...

just one point, the Sendo X can store 30-45 mins of video footage on its internal memory, and lots more if you have SD/MMC. so, not really 'short' video clips!! |

Actually that's incorrect - video can only be recorded to the phone memory, not to the SD/MMC.
Edit:
Tonnes of info here

...and as one independent phone review website already said.... this Sendo-X will embarass all the other brands in the market. i own a P800 and a T610, and i'm sorry, SE fans... this Sendo-X will be my next baby. |

After the P800, I'm a little reluctant to go back to a non-touchscreen phone, but this is sorely tempting - it seems to have everything you could ask for.
Oh, btw, firmware/software updates can be done via GPRS or your PC.
