Hi,
Does anyone know whether you can use this serial cable with the T68? The box said "compatible with R320 and R380" but the local Ericsson dealer can't say if it is compatible with the T68. We do not have DRS-11 yet in the Philippines.
Thanks in advance for any information. |

To cybervisitor,
You said that you can use your cable DRS 10 with your T68, How did you do it? I likewise have a T68 and a T39 but it seems they won't synchronize with my pc. Unfortunately, my pc won't neither recognize both phone. so How did you do it? Did you download another software from ericsson if you did please advise.
My phone (T68) and My brother (t39) when hooked to the cable would only display " ericsson optimized charging " and when we go to phone setting my pc won't recognized both phone.
Can you please help or other forumers who had this problem. thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR |

Randy,
Download Package_4 (T65), then download Package_5 (T68). Install Package_4 first, then install Package_5.
Package_4 contains Full Sync functionality w/ Outlook. Package_5 is the T68 mobile phone monitor and drivers that contains support for Serial connection.
Go to SonyEricsson support www.sonyericssonmobile.com/support to download files. |

Hey thanks arnoldc
I never thought that it was a large file coz the download time was very very long. I wished I applied for PLDT DSl. Haven't tried it yet but will post what happened.

Well, got my DRS-10 from Semicon @ Powerplant yesterday and now my Windows XP notebook is suddenly "useful". For the T68 that is.

I got the same problem with my T65. I have been struggled with my DRS-11-compatible cable for weeks and still fail to get it connect with my T65. Do you guys use original cable or those compatible ones?
Btw, what's the difference between DRS-11 and DRS-10? The spec says T65/T68 should use DRS-11, not DRS-10!!
Let me try if the pack-5 will help. |

I have assurance from Ericsson Philippines that DRS-10 will work with T68. It did.
I installed Package 2 first, then I upgraded with Package 1. I don't want the SMS capability added to my Outlook.
BTW, I use original Ericsson cable.

ArnoldC.
Hey just finished setting up both T68 and T39 with my DRS 10 data cable and they worked like a charm. Although I'm thinking of getting the XTDNConnect for PC ( the one with add- ons) which has to be purchase online, what do you think?. I liked to thank you for helping me out.
at first I had difficulty setting it up coz the com port won't open or exchange data with the phone. luckily, I found out that my CMOS setup for Com port setting in COM 2 is disabled. when It was enabled, There's no stopping with the synchronization. And you, my man, made my ericsson life a lot simpler.
To you, arnoldc. MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO.

So which cable(s) work with the T39, and where are they available? According to the carphone warehouse there are no cables currently available in the UK, and I havn't been able to find one online either!
I want to connect mine to a desktop pc, so any suggestions are good. Has anyone got a usb->IrDA adapter? Do these work? |

DRS 10 works both on T68 and T39. But if you are able to purchase DRS 11 then well and good.
Just follow the instruction of arnold in this session and make sure that you're COM port 2 is activated. You can look it up at CMOS setup under Features. Activate it and place it in normal mode then download the package 4 (T65) then package 5(T68). Then when you attach DRS 10 with your phone and run XTDNConnect for pc your phone will synchronize with your pc and vice versa.
Hope this help. |
