A life after T68i? |

Can the T68i really be improved upon? Maybe SE could throw
in more colors and polyphonic ring tones but I think that's it!
Camera, radio and mp3 are all availlable as accessories.
Some might say JAVA. But I don't think it's worth having.
It'll be so slow and it won't have all the features that
java-applets on the web has anyway.
Let's face it, T68i is the perfect phone.
We've reached the end of the GSM mobile phone evolution!
It's probably only my fantasy that is limited but that what it
feels like right now.

There is still a lot of things they could improve on the T68i.

In the wake of what Japan is up to, after the P800, let's wait for a T68i sized/weight phone, with full touch screen usability, and a small swivel camera for true video conference, and built in memory stick. It's very realistically 2 years away ....

When I said full touch screen usability above, I meant a touch screen full length of phone. |

And 3G will be here (in Sweden) in a couple of months... (small scale)
The whole 3G-net (covering at least 98% of Sweden's inhabitant) shall accoring to the plans be finished by the end of year 2003 I think... |

GPRS w/Edge could work quite nicely. You really do need 3G technology to get anything close to full motion with video. Of course, in most of the world (people-wise), we will probably see broadband wireless before 3G roll-out anyway which will really be cool. |

Right now, I find the T68i perfect in a lot of situations and I believe this phone will be great for the next year or two. If they can design another T68 looking (Or a Nokia) phone with it’s size and weight, with the same but A LOT more features of the T68, you can bet I’d buy it.
I do not want a phone that looks like a burrito (P800) and worry about losing accessories for the phone. or a small box (Z700).
They need to add some curves to these phones
As for Nokia, maybe they’ll pull something nice out eventually...

3G is up here in Norway ., but they don't have phones for it. Telenor tested it a couple of weeks ago with a rebuilt asian phone.

256 colors is realy shit according to 4096 colors! The best improvment would be 4096 colors!!! And it would be very very good if mp3 & radio will be INSIDE the phone (like in NOKIA phones!)!!! |

I believe the P800 is posed to take over the T68i as there are no "intermediate" phones from SE so far unlike the 7210 and 7650 from Nokia ... |

I prefer a phone with many external accessories so that when one gets old you don,t have to replace and say for all of the other ones and the phone itself. And when you change the phone you can keep the ones you bought. But I an disappointed about one thing, the radio is mono! And huge also...I wouldn't change immediately to 3g.It will be the same as mms, lack of services.Fast wap access but nowhere to surf. And bugs...And beta version like phones...Buy a p800 and you will be happier. ;-)

3g will be great. But do any of you think about the cost of 3g services? If you spent 500 euro for a T68i and 1 euro everytime you send an MMS, do you think your heart and your wallet will survive when moving to 3g?? ;-) Mobile communication must remain accessible to most of us!
