@ flying finn: i'm not denying that the 3200 is a neat package, i was just pointing out that lack of in-built radio in other mobiles isn't a deal breaker. i seriously doubt anyone actually needs a radio built into their handset, no matter how much they might like it. my main gripe with the 3200 is not it's feature set, but it's appearance (as i said on page one of this thread). hurny mentioned above the disadvantages of buying a plug-in radio unit for a phone. i'm sure much the same argument applies to a plug-in bluetooth adapter (which, btw, ericsson was the first to produce many moons ago). it's just a case of priorities for the user

@ hurny: ok. it just seemed to be aimed at me. i'm not a die-hard fan. i am, however, a fan of getting myself the best deal.

If you have infrared on your computer (eg and USB infrared adaptor etc..), then you just have to install a phone manager like Oxygen Phone Manager onto your computer and you can transfer anything from or to your phone.

You'll be able to get versions off the internet readily enough. Try searching for a 'yahoo group' (groups.yahoo.com).
Try searching for Series 40, or 3200, or 6610, 7210. Any similar phones.

The group may have OPM there to download.
It may even be available somewhere else, so try a google search.

the ir-port of the phone is not locked.you can transfer pics and sounds to other phones e.g. siemens s55.

You know hurny your stupidity amazes me...... I 've read this forum now because i wans't very active lately but i have to say that flying finn is ok and i'm happy that he is here because he knows some things about phones and he's allways objective but you well, you say that you don't like se users because they post crap and yes alot of them do but you you post more crap than any other guy i know, I agree 3200 is a good phone so i'm not talking about this, but you you have said that se can't figure out how to have an inbuilt radio that's just stupid, almost every person agrees that se has the best technology like for instance, the developer of bluetooth, first with colour screen, first with 100m bt, first with mms, first with gprs and on and on and you really believe that se can't do a radio?!? se produces the hpr 20, why ? because it's cheap and it's ideal for people that listen to radio, I think that se aren't going to put a radio in their phones and nokias are more expensive than se phones that is a fact and you can't say that it isn't true and i have figured out that for the price difference in every competitng model you buy yourself a hpr-20
plus the hpr 20 is alot better, i'm talking this from my experiences and from some reviews, why? it has an outside display, alot better sound, and it's small and light, so I would never understand nokia fans like you.....
you said that thebrand loytalty never ceases to amaze you, but you are talking such that every one can see thatyou are a hardcore fan of nokia, and please answer me this: do you have any se phones and if not you can't talk about bad systems and things like that, do you know how many sites and newspapers gave a 90% score to t610 and to p900? but nooooooooo you still think it's crap!
you said quote about the 6230 : _or wait a damn long time for another brand to bring out a phone with the same list of awesome features_
so what are you stupid or what, man the whole internet is talking about sl65 and t650 and other new mobiles and you think that the 6230 is a one and only, I mean the p800 was the best for two years because they have presented it alot before but p900 is the best only for a month, why? because se decided to release phones alto quicker when they are announced! How about sendo x? are you blind or what? it's going to be realesed amost half a year before and it's a better phone!! christ you really think that nokia is the best don't you?
You don't even want to smell stuff like sendo, sharp, siemens, se, mtorola etc?

but ok i don't care live in your dreamworld......

Just to defend Nokia

Nokia had the first phone with a game and multiplayer mode (6110 in 1998 - and some would say it's a stupid idea..), the first WAP phone (7110 in 1999), the first integrated antenna phone (8810 in 1998), one of the first if not the first IrDa phone (9000 in 1996 & 6110 in 1998), the first phone with a LARGE screen (2110 in 1994) the first phone with user exchangeable covers (5110 in 1998), the first integrated camera phone (7650 in 2001), the first phone with as many as 4096 colours (9210 in 2000 and 7650 in 2001), the first phone with a speakerphone (9000 in 1996 & 7650 in 2001), the first phone with downloadable ringtones and logos (2110 in 1994 & 9000 in 1996 & 6110 in 1998), one of the first phones with poly ringtones (7650 in 2001 - it had 24 channels), the first phone with WAV ringtones (9110 in 1998), one of the first PTT phones (5140 in 2003), one of the first 3G phones (6650 in 2002), one of the first EDGE phones (6200 in 2002) and absolutely the first smartphone - the communicator series since 1996.

Nokia also developed the hugely successful Series 60 user interface which is now used by Siemens, Samsung, Sendo and Motorola (?).

Yeah i'm not saying that nokia is a bad tech company I think it has done of the best tech phones (well the comm was the best) i was just reffering to hurny's stupid post about se and their bad knowledge of technology......

But i still think that SE is the best technology company (mobile) and that's why I am fond of SE phones......
