I think the screen beats the T310/T230 screens easily and is probably on a par with the Z200's screen, just to mention the phones SE offers the youth. Its closest competetor, the Siemens MC60 also has a 4K colour screen (but 50% lower resolution). I agree they could have put in more memory but again the MC60 for example has only 1MB too. One could even think these bad features are typical in entry level phones, heureka!

Has it ever crossed your mind that what you think looks ugly might look attractive in someone elses opinion? Apparently not. You can just declare in behalf of the whole world that it's a "shit design". And WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ITS QUALITY?

To get a better idea of how the 3200 looks I advise you go check out the 3D demo here http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,42762,00.html# , it also shows how the 3 sales package paper cutouts are holographic

As far as I know, no one said it had BT, but support for the Nokia Wireless Audio Adapter:

That guy is worse but , hey, this one has a point: nokia uses paper to manufacture their phones
From my point of view, can rest ...if some1 starts using paper, the it`ll be dirt they`re using and then...i am taking this too far

I always thought these East European guys are rude and have no manners but this one actually admits it, wow.

No. It goes for around 270€ in Finland (unlocked) which is about 320USD. If you can buy it with a contract (or you have to) it's obviously cheaper.

HEY HEY HEY
I have a SE T610 linked up to my non-turbo civic via bluetooth to my special BT head unit, i am running 6 Phoenix GOLD 1200 amps powering my front and rear door component speakers, and my 4 18" AUDIOBAHN AW 1805X subbies. Two of the subbies are a lttle under powerd but with 4 of them it still pumps.
The other day i took my car to teh drag strip and ran a 22 second pass it isnt bad but i think it can improve, so teh next day and went adn spoke to me cuzz, he said "ay ullay, rool on ova to my cuzz shop and pik up sum phully sik clear lights ullay" so i did and went bak to the strip the next day, with the extra 500 'clear tail light" horse power i ran a 6.9 second pass, respectable, but i want to get 5 second so i think im going to install an intercooler for my BT reciever or a BOV so my car makes that 'GO FAST' noise when i press the horn.
Any advice would be good, THANX

When designing a phone for teenagers, including girls, you have to consider what features they actually need.
From Nokias to an SE to whatever.

But the Nokia 3200 is competing with the T610 and not the other SE phones like the T230/T310. Here in Sweden the T610 costs 2826 SEK = 314€ (at the cheapest place according to Pricerunner) and the Nokia 3200 costs 2599 SEK = 289€ also according to pricerunner.

Since they are in the same price segment they are competing directly with each other, and the T610 is much better, has more features and better screen.

Just as a reference T230 costs 1364 SEK=151€. The SE Z200 is sub 2000SEK = around 200€. The competitor is clearly the T610.

Hey Lowrida- you're embarrassing other Aussies on this forum (including me), so why dont you go kill yourself so you save us some reading time, and allow everyone else more oxygen. Damn.

@701. Well what are you intending to do about Finn or I liking Nokia? it seems to me that Finn has given you and the rest of the people here some pretty damn good reasons why the 3200 is a good phone for the market it is aimed at.

Hey, this is a good test. If it sells more than the SE phones, it is better than the SE phones. My bet is that it does.

@ Hurny

As you see in my price examples above the Nokia 3200 is competing at the middle-end and not the low end. The T610 is almost the same price and is a much better phone, and better value for money.

And as we all know number of sales has very little to do with the actual quality of the product. Marketing is the key, and this is where Nokia excels.

The Nokia phones available today and the products their products for the last one and a half year doesn't warrant their 40% market share. They are selling the phones on past merits and because the fact that the Nokia brand name is very strong, which were wee earned in the end of the 90's. But during the las 1-2 years most competitors have technically superior phones. And also more user-friendly phones. It's just recently that Nokia has started to change their outdated interface (which was good in the late 90's), but is horribly outdated today. I'm talking about Series 20/30/40 now and not Series 60.

There are many examples where inferior products outsell the better competitipon... VHS/Betamax, Windows/MacOS etc.

What matters is the people that are meant to buy it, like Nokias previous 3XXX users, the dozens of millions of them. They may not even see phones like the T610 as an alternative like we do. The prices also depend on where you live. In Finland the T610 costs 340€, the Z200 230€ and the T230 160€. The 3200 is 270€. And with operator contracts you can get phones for free so it really isn't that simple.

I remember how the 3310 cost over 300€ when it first came out and now it's the most common cell phone in the world.

actually the real competitor for t610 is 7250i but because se doesn't flush 30 similar mobiles, it's also a competitior (i mean 3200 is a competitior)

btw: i don't know about kids buying the 3200 because it's more a youth phone, for instance my school mates are 15 and three of them have t610 and none this nokia, but four have 7650, so i don't think young people are attracted to ugly and cheap looking mobiles.....

price ranges are different but because we have mobile operators you can get phones for a silly price and therefore most people don't even look at the price...

@hurny: so in your logic, ford makes better cars than bmw because it sells more cars?!? that's just bull.....

So you think BMW's on the whole are better cars because they cost more? They cost more because there is a marketed prestige in a BMW. They make less of them, therefore they are more expensive.

Something more expensive is not ALWAYA 'better' quality.

Hey, if SE were told to make the 3200, they would sell it at about 300 pounds! SE sell less. Mostly because they have significantly less consumers.

The 7250i has JUST come out. Of course its going to be more expensive. The T610 is more expensive than the 7250 though.
