T300 13 second trick |

Ok 1st of all I'm new to the forum so don't bash me if this is common knowledge already 
Just ignore it if it is...
I experimented with the 13 second trick and noticed that some things where left on the phone.. like certain pictures or a screensaver, ofcourse we don't want that do we ? 
So after a while I found out how to clean out every predefined thing..
Leaving me with 624KB free space on my T300.
1) First I did a master reset and w8ed till it was done...
2) Then I did the 13 second trick.. It is important here that you exactly time 13 seconds or you will end up with about 2 pictures.
If you don't do step one.. or atleast on my phone I will see 33 pictures left.
Oh and if you don't know what the 13 second trick is, its just removing the battery after 13 seconds while doing the master reset.

A master reset will revert to factory settings.. so if you have made certain profiles they will get deleted too.
On my phone I don't use gprs because vodafone disabled it...
But a master reset+13 second thing will wipe out everything, so even the default theme gets deleted. Or to be more precise the screensaver and background.
Be sure to backup certain things.. I should have w8ed so I could backup minigolf, but I think thats a freeware game so I'm in luck |

Can someone plese explain the 13 second trick in detail.
Ie: when exactly does the 13 seconds start?
I have tried it multiple times and it has not worked.

Save yourself the trouble and just do it once for 10 not 13 seconds, all the predefined stuff goes and MOST of your downloaded stuff STAYS, by most i mean 90% i've done it on 2 phones, one only lost the wap profile, and the other lost no settings.

I did it and I got rid of all the predefinened items. All it did was delete 1 ringtone! Guess I was just lucky!!!

Well I sucessfully got rid of the predefined stuff twice under the exact same condition.. don't know if it works for other t300's or even other phones..
Doing the 13 sec trick while doing the 1st master reset doesn't work for sure btw.. only a few things gets deleted.
About some other ppl saying it is not real.. I uploaded about 600kbyte of midis to my phone lol
Anyway I want someone to try the what I did to confirm it, if it fails then its 2 bad
BOSSHOGG: Did you tried a masterreset and then another master reset where you applied the 13 seconds trick ?
That was the only way I could get rid of everything..
Miraclemonkey2001: The 13 seconds start just after you pressed the 'yes' key when you see the warning when you see the progressbar.
It might take 1 or 2 times to time it correct. If it faisl simply do a full master reset and then retry the 13 second trick on the next masterreset.
Don't change any options or whatever between the masterreset and the 2nd masterreset where you apply the 13 sec trick.

Hello,
How do you get 1000kb free space on a t300 with the 13 sec trick. I only got 620 kb free space on my t300 can somebody tel me by mail (thijs789@hotmail.com) how you get so much free space on a se t300.

the 13 second trick in detail: (t300 tested on)
Make sure there is nothing important on your phone
Go to master reset it will prompt you a couple of times
as soon as yes - it will have the loading screen where a bar whizzes across the screen
as soon as this appears, then start counting.
at 12,13,14 14 ideal seconds then push the button on the back that releases the battery. You dont need to take the battery right out, just so the phone turns off straight away
Wait about 5 minutes then turn on the phone
It will take a bit longer to start up
I got 650kb free but it kept 2 poly ringtones, no themes, no games except erix, 4 of my pictures, and all my phonebook. im really happy.
But is sold it 2 weeks ago for a p800 - however if you need any more info on the t300 then pm me.
best of luck. dont worry if you do the 13 sec trick more than once. just keep trying young padawans

hey, i have a t306, and rogers had my GPRS blocked, then once I did a regular master rester it unlocked the GPRS. However I stall have about 200K of predefined pics & Midi & games I want gone. did yours get rid of the predefined? |

Imho i 13 sec trial is quite unhealthy for your phone. Avoid it

it has worked for millions all over the world - wot can it do apart from free space? anyway, u dont keep a phone for years and mines been working since march when i joined and found out about it

@amdk, i tried it once before for 13 seconds on my phone, it never worked. A few moths later i did it for ten seconds and it worked, most of my downloaded stuff stayed and all predefined went. I did it on another but passed ten seconds so nothing happened, triede again for ten exactly and it worked again. So you could be right about needing to do it twice, but i think if you get ten exactly it'll work first time.

well i got my irda dongle yesterday, backed up everything and tried the 13 sec trick. i have a t306 lotr edition. it had bout 300k of predifined lotr sounds and images, and it has tony hawk, and only had bout 120k free. after a master reset i had 250k free (lotr images & tony hawk still there). after the 13sec trick some more was gone, but not all. with trial & error i found 11 sec to remove everything. It gave me 524k free. if i do another master the lotr & THPS4 are back again, but atleast they dont load and take up less space.
