Where can I download the latest firmware, and uploader for the Z600, also does it matter what country I live in?

Also, can someone please tell me what the Background size is the Z600.

the latest firmware should be whatever is on your phone at the moment since it is such a new model. the background size should be in the specs page. there have been several questions like this already for the past fortnight, so it might help next time to

lmao - a noob telling off a noob

Thanks cool G.

I didn't mean the Screen Size, i mean the WxL size that the background images have to be for you to upload them to your phone... Or are they one in the same???

i think they are one and the same, and the phone just tops-and-tails the display for status and menu options (although i'm happy to be corrected on that).

edit: just checked my phone and the background image fills the whole screen. the status and softkey options are superimposed over the top.

your firmware should fall somewhere between r2d001 and r2f002, with the only differences being due to country of sale rather than in functionality - something to do with language packs i think.

edit: there is no downloadable firmware program yet for z600. you will need to visit a service centre to perform upgrades.

to check firmware press >*<<*<* and ignore the menu changes. this should get you to the service menu.

because wallpapers need to leave room for the bar at the top where signal and battery strength is, and room and the bottom for the button labels (calls, more etc) whereas screen savers use the full screen.

btw. you may not be aware of a little trick to quickly view the screen saver. Just press and hold the "#" key

Hurray now I am one of the Z600 - R5*001 users... Just have to get to the Service Center and pick it up.

Sadly it is still Live! locked - I played a little "I know nothing about phones" and asked if they can remove it.

The salesman said with a groumpy voice "No! And you're not aloved to!"
