hi
discovered it a while ago...
when you get a new message press no saying u dont waht to read it, got messages, sms inbox, the message will have a closed envelope as the icon,
go over it press options----> reply ----> include this message. now read the message, clear it press no and exit !!! goto inbox and check it still is unread according to the phone !!!!!

useful if two people share a phone and u wan to spy on someone else !!!!

Since we are on the paranoid side of life, here's another way that will even leave the new message warning still displayed. When you get a new message you simply take your phone and synchronize it with some phone software on your pc. You'll then be able to read it on your pc without any indication on the phone that someone has done that.

Just pray that the owner doesn't start to look for the phone while you are doing the sync.

Well, I remember doing it with the Phonebook and messages editor that used to came with the SE software bundle. The problem with that software is that it's only partly compatible with some phone models - for example it works with my T39 but not with my T310. There are however other programs, such as float's mobile agent, that also synch your phone. Try it with those and let me know if it works.

Another way;

Look at the senders details/number, check the time of day, then make an "estimated guess" as to what the message would have said,
this method is not fullproof, it has a HIGH element of risk.
Reminder; milk, sugar, crisps, post letter.

Sorry about that - wrong button again. Deleting a thread is a moderator-only prerogative. And btw, message synch is almost instantaneous (it depends actually on the number of messages on the phone and the method used to connect).

Why would you do that unless one of your contacts was upset that you hadn't replied to their SMS? You could say, "I haven't read it yet." Is that how you'd use it?

No this technique is for the paranoid and control freak in everyone of us. It may be used to read, exempli gratia, your partner's messages without him/her ever knowing what hit them.
