I bought the t-mobile version and it doesn't have MMS (error messages). I've read this site and others and I've also asked in some shops and this is what I found out:

1. Flashing removes the t-mobile icons and thus enables MMS.
2. Upgrading the firmware to r3c (mine is r1s) will improve the processing speed, specially for Java apps.

I'd like to ask for your help on where flashing and upgrading services are done. I've asked at ATC, Semicon Megamall, and others and they all say that it's one and the same (upgrading). So I don't know where I can have my phone flashed. Thanks!

Unfortunately, our service centers here in the metro don't have the capability of flashing the memory specifically with t mobile. I already asked smartnet regarding this matter. You might have read the thread regarding this but the company or mobile phone company that does this flashing is not from here.

@loverlionus-i suggest that you call your network and ask for the manual settings for gprs and mms. you will have to input these settings yourself. gprs and mms settings can not be loaded over-the-air for t-mobile phones. hope this helps.

I tried setting up manually, I used some of the settings in the thread by arnoldc titled "Smart settings..." or something like that. And it worked! I can now send and receive MMS, thanks to you
smandaljr! I guess my next projects would be the activation of the GPRS, WAP, and email features..plus the upgrade to the latest firmware and removal of the tmobile icons.

Here is another thing I noticed and would like to ask help from anybody:

1. The operator logo (Smart in this case) is displayed twice in the screen, one on top of the other. I've tried downloading a logo (not a colored pic) to try replacing one of the "SMART" but I can't figure out how to display it.

Anybody was successful in flash T-Mobile T610. I've got T610 made in Malay - TMobile. And it's has T-mobile-defined icons (such as t-zones, VoiceNotes). What do I need to flash it (cable, flash, software ...)? My software version is R1L013.

1 more thing : my fone can receive MMS, but not send it? Anybody know. Thanx for reading & more thanx 4 help me

got mine upgraded at Smartnet. It now has R4C. But even before when i had the R1S firmware, i was able to do MMS with my T-mobile unit. What i was wondering about is that im expecting t-mobile icon like the t-zones on the menu to go away when upgraded, but it's still there. Any suggestions? Can a master reset remove this? thanks.
