we had nothing but problems with these phones. The globalstar network also faces a pretty unstable financial situation now. Go for Irridium or Thuraya. (The last one even has prepaid satcom available!!!) |

The beauty of the R190 is that it could access both gsm and the Asia Cellular Satellite (ACeS) network on our end.
Satellite access is limited to Asia though they also offer pre-paid at amazingly low prices!
US$0.26 for all incoming calls and outgoing calls except international and US$0.35 for international outgoing calls. |
