Yeah, well, i managed to find iceblox (NOT iceblox plus) eventually.
Its almost perfect, but ultimately useless,as it's not been ported properly. When I first got it up on screen I was really happy as it's one of my favourite arcade games.
You can imagine my short lived joy turned to disgust when I realized that the author probably hasn't played the arcade version, as you`re expected to kick a block about 6 times to disintegrate it, rather than just the once you needed in the arcade. So you invariably get killled as you try to make your escape.
This game is available on loads of platforms, with the arcade reference on Mame - you`d think that having spent a fair while, no doubt, on the J2ME port you'd have a little look to check you`d not made any obvious mistakes, but no.
I have no idea how to get in touch with the author. His name is not given in the game itself, and when I search on the web I find different programs but not, apparnantly, the version I have.
It's a funny old world.

The web site of the guy who created Iceblox is javaonthebrain.com. Then go to the Applets tab. |

I'm talking about the java game "Iceblox", not the Mophun game "Iceblox Plus".
I did check out the javaonthebrain site but i'm sure i saw some screenshots of his game and it looked different to mine. I'll check it out again though. Perhaps I have an old version. |
