the problem with putting them in your sig is that the sig becomes text in the post and so anything you put in there will remain in those posts forever, i.e. long after you have sold the items.

i do believe it only becomes text if you edit the post.
if you dont edit it, it will still be a signature, and will change when you change your sig in preferences

yep. I just tested it against one of my first posts and you are correct. (see I'm still learning  )
but I guess its still a valid point to think about if you do edit any of your posts jiggyjaggy.

if i edit a post, i tend to delete the sig off the bottom anyway

The signartues are there for you to announce who/what you are.
As far as I know there has been only one or two complaints as far as signatures go.
Things that would be removed from a signature is basically things or links that would be inapropriate to post in the fourums.

My sig which tells you what your IP address is and what browser you are using were edited by the mods. It was an image link basically. why was that? 
Knowledge is two fold. Knowing a subject or knowing where to find out about a subject. I rely on both... That is why I come here.  |

Thanks guys...appreciate your help...It was cos im advertising an Ipod for sale....I dont think it will cos bother...as its not an explicit link to a "bad" site....so it should be cool!

It is alowed to put a image in your signature cuz that is realy anoying. just take a look at http://www.howardforums.com and you understand what i mean.

Even though esato's layout isn't as "new" or "nice" as many others, I think it is much better. The threads don't get mixed up with pictures and stuff like that. That's only irritating. And besides,l now we're all used to this
