I'm thinking of getting a P800 from eBay , As the price is quite good compared to what I've seen before (and before you ask that seller has only 1... )
Is there a place where I can check that the phone is not black-listed or blocked before I actually buy it? Is there any web-based database that the UK providers are using?
Cheers. |

It's a high risk thing, you realy need to pick it up in person & hand over the money at the same time to be sure. for example how could you possibley know if he /she really only has "only one", you dont know anything for sure.
Before you bid, aare you aware that Expansys (well known seller in UK) is selling new P800's for £197 , they are "Grade "B" stock & are in damaged box's ETC or returns.
They are a much safer bet.
Here is the link;

Yea, just putting it in perspective, i think £170 is about the right money max for an ebay P8, also if someone in the family is VAT registered ????
The one they have/had is missing a Duo, but its only a 16mb one.

Thanks pachy and masseur. I did check Expansys but they're not responding to my emails. I'll try to call them tomorrow to see if they have any stock left.
BTW - Am I only risking the cost of the phone doing it on eBay? What happens if I use one of these black-listed phones , Will it lock itself out or something? The guy says it's a new handset so it can't be black-listed , Can it?
