this should be in the other manufacturers forum... but anyway...
the unlocked XDA 2 is called the i-mate and although you don't say what part of the world you are in you can check Expansys who have them for pre order here for £572.81

so was it an XDA 2 you bought? and therefore presumably locked to O2? or did you buy the non O2 version? and where from for that price?

I don't think these will sell well in the States... T-Mo carried something similar (discontinued) to this and Sprint PC has a similar unit out right now... I think any PDA/Mobile that looks only like a PDA is more likely to only stay in the PDA users market. With that said I'll probably replace my pocket pc with it, but I don't think i'll use the phone features as much.. The Pxxx series phones has the keypad flip option wich sets them apart for other pda/mobile devices. They are more excepted as a mobile unit first rather then PDA. Keeps one closer to the mobile trend lifestyle..

I have noticed a few times that different amounts of memory, both ram and rom, are present in some adverts for these XDA2's...it appears that it's up to the manufacturer as to whether to include 32 or 64 rom, and 64 or 128 Ram, or have i misinterpreted this...? |
