If you have lost those I can only suggest a master reset which should restore them as the camera sound and message alerts sounds are built into the firmware and nobody can give them to you

It'll work. Just make sure you back up any stuff (pictures, sounds, phonebook contacts) on your phone prior to the master reset.

sounds like a major problem doesn't it?

for interest, what caused the problem in the first place?

either way you will probably need to return the phone or take it to an service centre, possibly to have the firmware reflashed

well in that case, is there such a software that can do the master reset via a data cable?...seeing as though i cannot actually do it manually?

thanks again peeps!

sorry- i guess i described it wrongly.
When i start the Master Reset process it DOES start it, then as the bar goes across the screen once (15-20secs) it just turns itself off and then back on again. It hasn't finished the Master Reset process, i guess something goes wrong so it just reboots itself.

Here's an idea tho...what if someone with a perfect Z600 backed up thier phone using Mikael Christersson's Phone Backup, and then sent me their file and i did the backup myself? do you reckon this will work?

No its won't. It won't fix a glitch in the phone's firmware. I'm thinking you need it reflashed, so go visit .
It takes an idiot to do something cool, thats why its cool.
