Hi, Can anybody tell me what *#30# does? i typed it into my phone whilst messing about and it said service activated, lol.

Any ideas??

I'm pretty sure that is the Caller ID check.
But then I could be very very wrong

Caller ID?, is that if somebody has witheld thier phone number, you can press *#30# too see the phone number or am i waffling?

no, if they have withheld their number you will not be able to see this.

This code is querying whether you have CLI active, i.e. whether you can see their number if they are sending it.
