i have a R5... t68i, i got 3 themes installed, small file size and about 7 small pictures, my free memory would be 42kb, no recorded sounds...dont know why, my frnds phone is a R6..., not sure, she has 6 themes and more than 10 pics, with a lot of recorded sounds,free momory is about 100+... is it my software version or what? im afraid to do the 13 second trick...

Back-up your data (i.e. Contacts) and do a Master Reset. See if it does improve the available memory. Don't do the 13 sec. trick yet, it might mess-up your battery.

If that does not do anything for you, take your phone to Sony Ericsson Service Solutions in Makati. Have your firmware upgraded to R8A. Ask for the Euro language pack 2 and it will add four more games to your phone.

Why do sony phones come with such a pathetically small amount of memory, my T300 had 300KB! Was completley useless. Fortunatley samsung have finally realised that people need a reasonable amount of memory in their phone and put 9MB into their E700 :>

If you are talking about the themes, pics, sounds or anything that you have downloaded yourself - Yes, they will all be removed when you do a Master Reset.

But when you upgrade to a new firmware, they would be left in your phone untouched.
