Hello people, Im new here so please go easy.

Basically I not long had a t610 and yesterday I installed a new theme (from this site actually), anyway, when I got home and put my phone on charge I got no response?

No message, no moving battery image, no sound - totally weird?

I turned the phone off, removed the battery and tried all sorts! Weird thing is it seems to have charged slightly whilst it was connected? Although im not sure?

Has anyone else downloaded a theme from here and experienced similar problems ? maybe it wasn't the theme?

Please help.

Thanks

Welcome to esato!
If your phone has got really low battery status. The moving battery might not apear for up to half an hour after you put it on charge.

Welcome!

Did the red light turn on when you plugged in the charger?

Hi folks, thanks for getting back to me.

The battery wasn't completely flat that the icon didn't move and there is no red light in the joystick when charging?

Even when I initially put the plug in there is no pop up window that says "optimising......" or whatever it says?

Its really got me - I even removed the theme that I downloaded yesterday.......

I think I may need to update my firmware as well - after reading other threads. Is this something I can do in say an Orange or O2 shop?

Many thanks once more and I must say this place seems to have a nice vibe going on compared to other forums I've been to.

that happens to me all the time, it's a faulty cable. My little brother tried to unplug the cable from the phone, by pulling it off, instead of just pushing down from the top as directed, this for some reason, messed my cable up, and it doesn't charge when I plug it in. Try moving the cable around from the base at the phone, and it should say it's charging, and when you let go, it most likely will stop charging. My suggestion, get a new cable! cables go by quick! hey if you can get cables at swap meets, they are about $5 US dollars each..I bought 10...just in case!

I got a T610 on the same day as you and I have a similar problem.

When I try to charge my phone, it tells me that its fully charged (the little green battery shows its full)but when I remove it and try to make a call, it turns off.

The little green battery never goes to less than 75%

I've charged it overnight and the problem persists. Would somebody out there please shed some light.

Another thing I dont completely understand with the T610

When you are charging the phone while its off, when it is fully charged and the green battery indicates this, should it continue to say "charging"? Thats what mine does and I'm not sure whether its ready to be taken off the charger or not. Does it at some point ever say "battery full".

What does optimised charging mean?

Ok this is the situation....

Over the weekend I let the phone battery get completely flat.
(The little red light come on in the joystick and everything)!
I then plugged the charger in and got no response whatsoever? Anyhow, I went back to it an hour later - turned the phone on and the battery symbol was showing half charged.

At this stage remember no charging message appeared on screen - the battery indicator did not move - and no sound was made.

I left the phone for a another hour or so, turned it off and then on and would you belive it: A full charge?

So im sorry but thanks for your help, it seems not to be the cable - I never suspected that in anycase as it has been fine since day of purchase. Its got to be something to do with that theme I downloaded surely.......?

I wonder if I download another one it might sort it out?
Maybe a firmware update would sort it?

Has anyone else had problems after downloading a theme or game etc? There must be some conflict issues.........?

I suggest bringing the phone and the charger to your SE service center, and let them sort this out.

Thanks,

I know its not something likely to be resloved by the clicking of a few buttons - it would have been nice mind!
Nonetheless I will get it to my local centre and let them deal with it.

Thanks everyone.
