Hello mates.

I think my problem concerns a whole lot of people out there.
I have a Billionton USB Bluetooth adapter. And the main problem is locating drivers on the internet. They are not to be found. Most of them run the WIDCOMM stack and it smells like Widcomm has denied the companies to have drivers available on the internet.
My Bluetooth takes on Anycom driver, TDK drivers and such. (Widcomm software)
I tossed my driver CD a long time ago, and since I reinstalled Windows XP I need a new driver. Anybody have it? Can they send me it on e-mail then? tom-rian@online.no

Thanks in advance!

Its not a matter of Billionton being denied access to BT drivers, but it appears BT drivers are licensed and not freely available. I'm pasting an email exchange I had with Billionton tech support, after which they sent me a username, password to a secure ftp site to download the latest (at that time atleast) version 1.4.1 drivers.

does anybody have a copy of the MSI 1.4.2 build 10 bluetooth drivers yet? their site's quick installation guide's screen shots are the new 1.4.2.10 version, but their download only provides the 1.3.1 (1.3.2.7) version....

does anybody know where i can get the latest drivers?

this bluetooth driver situation is nonsense - i am basically shocked i cant get hold of drivers online. i dont keep driver disks anymore cos one always wants the latest off the web full stop. what does anyone benefit by restricting access to drivers that only work with hardware devices?

Colin,

We'll try to arrange a site for you to download Widcomm 1.3.2.7 shortly.

Cary,

Thanks for getting back to me, unfortunately my problem is unsolved:

I do not have drivers for my USB device. I no longer have the driver disk that shipped with the device and cannot find the appropriate driver online but I need to reinstall the device.

Can you please tell me where to get hold of the WIDCOMM 1.3.2.7 driver, for USB Bluetooth dongle, for Win XP?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Colin

Colin,

Thank you for your inquiry on Windigo Systems' products and services. The Widcomm 1.3.2.7 version is the correct version of software for your USB adapter. The available versions on our download site is for other devices and/or versions which does not apply to your hardware.

Thanks again for your interest.

The widcomm software supplied to each company will work with any hardware if you perform a few tweaks first.

See http://www.jonscaife.com/bt/ for an easy to follow guide.
