Problem with upgrade? |

I went into Liverpool city centre today just to clarify what I read on here a couple of weeks back; that the Liverpool Carphone Warehouse is going to be offering an instore software upgrade for the T68. However, I was told that this isn't the case, and when I asked where the nearest SE SC was, the woman serving me (who also worked in the SC) said that they won't do it there either; the phones have to be sent away. Phones 4U said much the same.
Has anybody heard similar, or hopefully, news to the contrary? I'm a bit worried  |

They should be able to upgrade it any "normal" SP.
And for FREE, and that was told to me directly on the phone by Support Chief (Nordic) MagnusNilsson.

I know i've posted this before but in case anyone is interested Vodafone have told me they are going to recall all 'there' T68's and upgrade them for free. Don't know if they will send them off (probably) but at least they are going to do something for a change! Ed

I had the same problem with carphone warehouse. I went in to ask about the upgrade and the woman behind the counter was adament that they do not do it, I was about to leave when their tech guy stopped me and said they do do it and that woman was talking out of her @r$e! I think they are suffering from bad communication at the moment.
I have phoned up a few times since and they always insist that they dont do it. So ask to speak to tech guy, he knows best

Elfie - yes they really did tell me that when i got my broken t68 replaced last week. It will be the mms sw when it arrives next month. Ed :-)
