BMW Bluetooth and T68i |

Yesterday I got the BMW Bluetooth retrofit kit installed in my 03 BMW 325i.
Really cool. However, there is a little problem, and I was wondering if anyone has an idea what could be wrong. Is anyone using this setup?
First the phone connects fine. I can make and receive calls over the steering wheel or the voice recognition system. I noticed that the phone loses connection to the car after every call and reconnects. No big deal, but I wonder if this is normal.
After I use the system for a few calls problems start occurring.
The phone shows it’s connected to the car, but the car says “no phone”. I’ve to turn the phone off and back on to get a working connection again.
And more frequently: The phone display shows a connection, the BMW also doesn’t indicate any problems. It displays the phonebook in the car stereo and everything else seems to work normal. However, when I try to place a call it says ‘dialing’ but then it switches right back to radio mode. To resolve this I also have to re-establish the connection by either turning the phone off and back on or turning the car ignition off and back on, which of course I can’t do while on the road. So I usually just turn the phone on and off. Then in most cases it works again, but usually I have to repeat this procedure after every single call, once it starts occurring.
Now my problem is to figure out, what’s going on. Is it the car or the phone or just a wrong setting in the phone? I’ve tried a different T68i with the same problems. Any ideas?

The t68i is a bit buggy. try using the nokia6310i. Also some of the symptoms seem to indicate poor network coverage - the 68i doesn't behave properly when network coverage is so-so. So I recommend the Nokia phone - it should behave much better. Good luck |

nnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooo don't choose the 6310i lol. Not sure what the problem might be, but sometimes when i had the t68i and even with the t610 the call would drop. It would say dialing, then just return back to the menu screen, maybe this is the problem, and it has nothing to do with the bluetooth.

Well, there is nothing else paired with the T68i. And yes the network coverage is a little weak around here.
I've been using my wifes Siemens S56 lately and haven't noticed any problem with it, so there really seems to be a bug in the T68i software or something. |
