This is what the FAQ says on
What are the differences between the different CommuniCam™ available on the market:
MCA-30 is equal to the MCA-25 but with new hardware and design.
MCA-30 also have more fun effects that can be used to personalize your pictures.

'new hardware' > does that mean the MCA-30 offers a better image quality?

It's out here in Switzerland, but I do not understand because there is no hardware to use it.
Unless I am mistaken and the t68i, and the t300/t310 can use this camera.
However mobilezone shops in Switz that have them do not have the t230 yet.
Can the z200 use the mca-30 because it does not have an internal cam ? |

dantec. it works with all phones that can use the earlier MCA cams, including T68i, T300, T310 etc

What would be cool though if it worked with the t610 and the z600... Then we could take 640x480 pics |

the quality of pics is better on a MCA-25 then on a MCA-20 so maby it could be better 2 ont he MCA-30
the price is low i think with the T230 it would go nice

I don't know about functionality, picture quality and effects, etc because I have a P900 and Z600 both of which have internal cameras but I saw one at a shop in Dubai and played around with it and liked the design much more than both the MCA-20 and MCA-25.
I speak from a purely cosmetic point of view...

i'm not gonna get one, but the price is low, and i just want to know how much it has improved. the MCA-25 is the best cam on the market according to me. but if the MCA-30 is a bit better good, then i need to make sure my friend buy that one.
so i want to know is there inprovement in the quality or in memory?
