T610 new firmware without disabled Bluetooth with Israeli SIM |

Hi all,
It seems there are a lot of knowledgeable people here, so maybe someone heard about such an animal?
Some background:
The Bluetooth ban has been canceled here in Israel on Oct 31st, and Nokia service centers are already busy with enabling BT in their devices.
However, they didn't need to wait for a new firmware, since it's possible to enable BT in Nokias without firmware upgrade.
As far as SE goes, they made a special code in the firmware checking SIM country code, and if it's Israel - BT is disabled. So there will be no solution until they bother themselves to release a new firmware version without this damn code!
Thanks! |

Is it a sarcastic remark (not funny, I must admit!), or do you have a specific information? |

have you spoken to themselves to ask if they plan to release new firmware for Israel? I guess its remotely possible they saw this coming, because it was known early in the year that this ban would be relaxed, and already did something about it.

If you're referring to a local SE representatives, there is nobody to speak to:(
The local company representing SE always was, how to say it, not great:), but now they've just been bought out by another company with no previous background in cell phones at all.
There is literally nobody with a bit of knowledge there, all they know to say is "call us near the end of December".
I've recently sent an online support enquiry with SE support Web site, but haven't got any reply for a week. |
