Nokia 6600 help please... |
ac Joined: Feb 09, 2003 Posts: 316 From: India PM |
Hi
I bought my 6600 from an official Nokia dealer in India. However, I realised that the "Try And Buy" applications and the supposed to be pre-installed Opera browser was NOT there on my 6600. There's no question of the phone being tampered/altered because I myself opened the sealed box.
Would anyone be kind enough to share his/her original 6600 MMC contents with me ? I'm specifically interested in the Opera browser. I'm willing to return favour in kind.
Please help. Thanks

If this is not a stupid comment but - why not go back to the dealer and get it changed! |

Thanks for your comments.
The dealer will not change them. It seems that all Asian made Nokia 6600s do not have these software/"try and buy" stuff. But the "Made In Finland" versions have that stuff. In any case, I'll be giving the local Nokia people a hard time today.

I'm sure trial versions of those apps are available in the net, why not download. Opera is freely downloadable in the net also.

Opera for Nokia 6600 is being provided for free (but only in phones meant for Europe/Africa). The ones on Opera.com are actually meant for 3650/7650 and are trial apps. |

@hurny:
The 6600's really great. Its what the 3650 should have been. Its not as wide or bulky as looks like in the photos. Camera is very good and so is the screen. IMHO battery stand-by has improved slightly over the 3650. The included ringtones are disappointing. Gprs access/page load times seem to be a bit slow.
