Pairing P800 to Dell Latitude |

Hi
I am trying to use my P800 with my Dell as a dial up for the modem. I have gone through the steps for the parts to find each other oK but now the Dell asks for a PIN number, as does the phone so they can "pair" . It seem syou hav eto type in teh same number fo reach unit so they can verify the connection as bonefide. ie: I authorise connection. i can see why you need to do this I just can't see how? Where do I get this PIN from ?
Dell support is no help at all, too complicated or them. Thanks

Welcome to esato! 
You can choose the PIN yourself, example:
The computer says: Enter pin, you enter 0000 and click OK
Then the phone also will say: Enter PIN (or something like that), enter 0000 again and it will work.
It might be the other way around, so you have to enter it on the phone first but it doesn't matter. Good luck. |
