Hi All,
After working with the T68i for a while I have noticed following problems:
1) Sending SMS during or after using bluetooth often fails!
2) Phone shutdown during conversation!
3) Bad t9 in chat mode (numbers instead of suggested words!)
4) Phone freeze during chat
5) Volume increase, decrease and fixed volume effect, does not work in Composer.
6) Bad signal or bad antenna. I often get the 'SOS calls only' message in the display! I didn't get those with the old T68m!

And now that we are add it! I would like these things changed:
1) Composer has too slow cursor movement. There is no up/down like in T9, and after listening to a song the cursor is always at end of song! This makes writing a song very painful and too slow a process.
2) Still missing an address field and a birthday field in Phonebook.
3) I hate the SMS 2,3 etc alert sound!
4) Would like to have an alarm go off with a message everytime people have their birthday (every year!)
5) Possibility to set message alert sound to any ringtone! I hate the current one!
6) Possibility to turn on and off the ringtones played when the phone is turned on or off.
7) T9 is still too slow.

I hope the new software (R2B025 or whatever) will fix some of this. Anyone seen these problems on their T68i ?

I havent had any problems with my T68i yet.

no phone-shutdown/freeze (happened on T68m)
no "missed calls" (this happened quite a lot on T68m)
no "sos-calls only",..this could be a network problem,..I never lost gprs/signal (I have TDC gprs).
I can easily send sms/call after bluetooth-session.
Chat I dont use.
Composer,..wouldnt know, dont use it

Bluetooth-connection can be lost, if one moves away from the other device to much. But its usually stabile.

T-9 is changed in new software,.you will see words instead of numbers.

hmm.. i dont have that many problems.. but some of them i agree with u..

my SMS doesnt fail during or after bluetooth.. it works fine!
my phone doesnt shutdown during conversation..
during chat mode, t9 works fine..
my phone doesnt freeze during chat.. but if i've kept my phone on for too long, available RAM seems low and while turning off the phone it stalls a bit (you know the animation that they have for turning off.. it gets kinda slow)
haven't tried the volume thing in composer yet.. i'll get back to you on that one..
signal is fine.. i only get SOS CALLS ONLY if i'm really in an area with no service.. maybe it's just your service provider's fault..

i have to agree with you about the composer's cursor movement tho.. it's really annoying that you have to scroll backwards to get to the beginning.. going thru every single note!!

t9 is a bit slow.. but hopefully with eZi input in the new software, it'll be better..

elfie_c: Yes I have seen the same with slow shutdown. I think there is a memory leak in the R2A014 software. That could explain some of my problems. I first got the problems after playing around with voice control! Maybe that and bad antenna!
I think I'll turn in my current T68i and get another one. That and the new software might fix all my problems. I surely hope so. Thanks!

And by the way, who can tell me: 1. Where did they hide the animations 4 the EMS? I can use them but they are not stored in 'my pictures'... 2. How do you set priorities (low/high) to the tasks?

They are stored in the MMS so if you get an MMS with animations
and sounds they will disapear when erasing the MMS makes sence.
If you want to use a animation or picture or sound in an MMS open it
edit it and choose the thing you wanna save and choose save
Thats how I got my sleeping bear screensaver

Thanks dw, but I wasn'talking about the coloured animated gifs. I also saved the sleeping bear in my pictures ;-) But what about the black&white animations for EMS? I only found them in the 'insert animation' menu, but where the hell are they stored?? Any way to edit them?? [:]

Okay switched my phone to a new T68i today. What a bad phone this is. Same problems with the 'SOS calls only' and on this one the battery and the volume key are very loose so they give this rattle sound. My old T68i had much better build quality!!!!

I will try and get my money back tomorrow and then buy the phone somewhere else. See if I can find a place with several phones so I can compare them side by side. Check display contrast, keys, joystick, battery etc. before I buy! These T68 i and m have very random built quality to them (my 2 T68m's were also very different in quality). So now you have been warned!

jh67: Did you get you R2B025 today? What differences do you see between this and the R2A014?

I've found another flaw: when inserting a €-sign into an SMS the number of allowed characters dramatically reduces. A workaround is to type the sms first and include the € afterwards...

Btw, I've had no problems with reception, the gauge is almost always full (with NL Vodafone)...
