It will display diffrent estamations depending of the reciption quality
if you are inside a building with thick walls it will go down
if you are alot in a car driving it will go down
if you are in a train it will go down
if you are standing besides a GSM 'tower' it will go up
It also depends how much you use it ofcourse if you jump around in
the menus alot from the start it will estimate the standby shorter
etc... it's just an estimation most of the times a 'to positive' estimations too I belive. I wish I had the posibuility to phone someone when it says talktime 10hrs and see if I really can talk 10hrs I bet I can't

Well said dw! The standby-time should only be looked at as a pointer of what to expect, it's not really something you can trust! It can go up and down, it just depends on how & where you use your phone!
I'm just not a signature kind of guy..
