SE shouldn't force that stupid memory stick. they must realize finally its a dead end.
they should only adopt sony's strengths...and abandon all the bullshits.....

users demand sd/mmc, great picture quality and resolution (at least 1,3 MP), big memory pool, and maybe radio/mp3 player, loudspeaker, and of course stability and connectivity: EDGE, BT,IR etc.

they have and had all the stuff (build quality, reliable BT etc ) to beat Nokia.

but they still cant use them.

Oh man! Why are you guys always comparing phones of different categories?

6230 is purely of a different class compared to T610/T630!
It has external memory storage!!!

What if the T610/T630 has their MS with them?

And the main reason why SE still uses MS rather than MMC is becos MS is Sony's and Ericsson doesn't have to pay license/ royalty to MMC! Think b4 you guys post!

I don't thing that's the reason since MMC is royalty free.

Having expandable memory is a technical advantage that the 6230 has and which SE should have in a similar phone (T630 namely). But it doesn't.

It's obvious why se uses the sony cards:they sell their own products. As for the memory thing, i think ur judgement is not sound as the t630 is just the continuation of the t610,not a shiny new toy like the 6230. Anyway, they've f@cked u again with that tiny 128*128 screen!Happy buying pals!

One more thing that seperates the MMC from the MS! I am not sure if I am right but from what I know, all my Sony products especially digicam uses Ms slots that are insertable and retractable while the devices are bring powered on! E.g P800 and P900 also can change MS while phone is still in use!

On the other hand, MMC used by Nokia phones needs to be shut down b4 you can change it! and I find MS stick (duo version) even more smaller!

the rumour says that 6230 will ba 50% more expensive than T610/T630 so if you want to put that money in a phone with aged MMC and a crappy camera (like every one else) you´re welcome!

Marcus,

you haven't even seen the quality of the camera. It's better than in the T630/Z600 anyway. And it can record video.

MMC is also relatively cheap, a 128MB card only costs about 40€.
