I think you are overestimating this phone malinda. by the time the 6230 is available Nokia will shoot themselves in the foot by announcing something else... they always do

I am bored with such a topic.

I am really agree with Vlammetje's idea. Consumer behaviour is unpredictable.

6230 is not released yet and most of us don't know what will be presented by Sony Ericsson in the time that the 6230 launches in the market.

Do you all still remeber the case of 7210? Yes Nokia won for a moment but T610 fastly got the 1st place in the selling chart in many countries and even help the company to make profit.

Sony Ericsson is much more worried than most of us, because the loss is their money! We can simply change our mind and get a Nokia phone but they cannot. They need to make the company survive.

Let's see what will people do when 6230 is launched in the market. Maybe someone may change their mind and say "SE makes a big hit to Nokia!" "I'm gonna go back to SE" or even "Oh, XXXX is better than 6230 and I delay buying a new phone".

theres also the minor thing of the nokia phone will probably cost around the £300 mark. yes its a nice phone but will be rediculasly expensive like all nokia's. look at the 7250 and the t610, both are similar featurewise but the 7250 costs about 2x the price of the t610.

T650 is really nothing - its only a roumor and guesswork on how the next SE T6xx phone will be.

T650 is a rumour... here is the main thread about it which is not too disimilar to this thread in that the discussions seem to compare the T650 with the Nokia 6230

Important info about SE 'T650'

Why do people compare a phone that has been available since May this year (T610) with a phone that will be available next year (Nokia 6230)? Kind of pointless. I'm pretty sure that SE has some new neat stuff for next year.

The "VGA cams" of the upcoming Nokia mobile phones are a little bit quite overrated.
From what ived heard is that, it is capable of taking videos of at least 10 seconds which is the standard that will be allowed by MMS, so its quite a short time.

I think SE would not yet consider this step at the moment because their partners Sony, are producing top of the line video cams. To incorporate this feature in a phone would be bad for their corporate partners.

Even the "EDGE" platform of communication would not be a factor of comparison, since the network providers are not yet supporting this technology as of yet.

The T630 would be a good upgrade for SE from the T610, it like a highbreed of the features of Z600 and the T610. The Nokia 6230 is like, to me, a phone that they manufactured to outdo the T610.

VGA: 640x480
CIF : 352x288

Size talks.

Also wanted to comment: someone said that 7250 costs the double that the T610. Nonsense. Here in Spain, 7250i is 10€ cheaper than T610, free-SIM phone.

Remember that those phones that are free-SIM are partly paid by the operator, so yo can't compare them. (you can, but it's not reliable...
